What happens when we buy bitcoin, and more importantly, what comes after?

Although executed in a matter of moments, the infamous ‘Buy Bitcoin’ sign is a testimony to the unfathomable amounts of work, conviction and belief in the human spirit that led to its creation, an accidental work of memetic performance art displaying the sly subversion of the old system by the new.

My pieces ‘Proof of Paradigm-defining Work (past / future)’ are in part a visual testimony to that labour of passion - meticulously and faithfully hand-painted over more than 400 hours to a size reflecting bitcoin’s new-found market cap - while also a blank page invitation to the proof work that lies ahead of us - as individuals and mankind as a whole, in a new era birthed from Bitcoin.

Two pieces, both equally laboured, celebrating with every brushstroke the building that came before us, and the creation yet to unfold.
