Part of the series, "Fuego Fiduciario", an exploration of hyperinflation in Venezuela. Despite having enormous natural resources like oil, and a relative advantage over other Latin American countries, government interference and money printing led to inflation rates as high as 63,000%, making an otherwise beautifully produced currency utterly worthless. This is a photograph of a 50 bolivares note incinerated in a wood burning stove printed to 16 x 20 canvas with wood frame.
