Legendary cypherpunk Hal Finney made history on January 10th, 2009, with his iconic tweet: “Running bitcoin.” In a poetic twist of fate, sixteen years later, his remarkable widow Fran carried forward the family’s pioneering spirit by “Running nostr,” leaving her own mark on the unfolding story of world-changing, pro-freedom technologies.
Signed by Fran Finney and hand-numbered, these limited-edition prints are now up for auction. To celebrate Bitcoin 2025 and the community-organised Run For Hal in Las Vegas, the first 21 of just 42 prints are being released.
100% of the profits from this print sale will be donated to the Hal Finney ALS/MND Research Fund.
The top 21 bids will each receive a print.
Printed on high-quality archival paper using archival inks, these prints are designed to last a lifetime and beyond with proper care. The 11.7”x16.5” size is a convenient standard that fits easily into affordable frames widely available in U.S. stores.
Bidding
The highest bidder will have first choice of edition number. Each subsequent highest bidder will then choose from the remaining available editions in order of bid ranking.
In the case of tied bids, priority will be given to the earliest placed bid.
