"The Three Sisters of the Coin" is the first bitcoin oil painting made by Proof of Paint, making it particularly special.

They are an original composition created with the upmost care on three panels. The triptych is a luxurious and unique artifact for passionate collectors.

The Sisters' theme is a play on the Three Graces, with a bitcoin spin. Depicting the idea of the celestial forces that assist man and oversee from above for his good fortune and prosperity. They are protectors of our aspirations and dreams.

Made with superior quality oil paints on linen panels handcrafted by Proof of Paint. The painting is executed over a rough textured old-school linen canvas mounted over artist grade panels. This allows the painting to rest on a semi-rigid support in order to maximize longevity.

Proof chose oil paint for this artwork because it is one of the longest standing mediums. He finds it to be the shiniest, glossiest, juiciest, material available to man to make pictures. Nothing but the best for these three ladies.

Oil paint is made out of ground minerals and metals to create the colors. These pulverized pigments are then ground into linseed oil. The light refracts through the colored minerals and layers of oil and creates the magical illusion of life.

Proof used authentic gold from Florence, Italy to create the laser eyes and coins.

The 23.5 ct orange gold gives the panels many personalities as their appearance changes with light. At night the laser eyes are moody and seem to glow in the dark, while in the day they sparkle and radiate with color.

Auction winner can also claim the 1/1 asset, minted on the counterparty and bitcoin networks, that symbolizes ownership of the physical work. Paintings ship as they are. Frames included. They each come authenticated by a message on the back signed by Proof of Paint's public key.

About the Artist:

Proof of Paint is a longtime bitcoiner. In 2013 he made his first art for bitcoin, getting commissions through reddit. He then used some of those savings to open his own art studio where he taught his approach to painting and drawing and developed his technique.

In 2020, as the pandemic unfolded, he closed down the studio and felt the call to become involved in the community again, and more so. He decided to put his craft to service Bitcoin. His goal is to show the beauty of sound money and celebrate bitcoin as a the tool to fight back and regain control over our time and energy. This regained control fuels freedom and develops dreams.

Influenced by pre-20th century art, he devotes his free time researching painting methods of the past. He wants to inspire fellow bitcoiners to learn about classical painting, art history, archaeology and low time preference art making.
