Featured in iconic release! This lot includes the sweatsuit and T-shirt that Ross Ulbricht wore when he walked out of prison on January 21, 2025, along with the laundry bag he had slung over his shoulder. Before going free, Ross made sure to pack his laundry bag with some of the personal items he had accumulated during his incarceration so he could take them with him.
“Walking free after more than eleven years behind bars felt incredible.” – Ross
While in prison at USP Tucson, Ross marked his prison-issued laundry bag with his name and cell block in black marker to ensure it wouldn't get lost when sent out for washing. Also issued by the prison, the T-shirt is labeled with Ross's name, prisoner ID, cell block number, and barcode. As for the sweatsuit, Ross bought it from the prison commissary at USP Tucson. Pants bought at prison the commissary come without pockets, so a fellow prisoner sewed custom pockets for Ross, as seen in the pictures.
- Please note: the sweatsuit, T-shirt and laundry bag were washed after Ross came home.
- All items are available for signing upon request (request must be submitted within one hour after auction ends)
