This is a down 'mummy bag' sleeping bag that Ross Ulbricht used while camping in Texas during his childhood. It was purchased by his parents at a thrift shop in Austin and became the family’s favorite sleeping bag (Ross’s dad inscribed “Best one” on it, as seen in the pictures).

“I grew up camping in Texas with this sleeping bag. It always kept me warm.” – Ross

Over time, the sleeping bag was patched in several areas. Today, additional patches are needed as some down is leaking. Stains and typical wear-and-tear are also visible in the pictures.

Ross's former roommate in San Francisco and then his wife safeguarded this sleeping bag during Ross’s incarceration.
