"Disconnect" is an oil painting created by Ross Ulbricht in collaboration with another prisoner while at USP Tucson. The front of the painting is signed as RΩSS to represent the collaboration with his fellow prisoner, who goes by Omega and taught Ross oil painting techniques.

“I tried to capture the feeling of being disconnected from the world and from my future, locked away, disoriented, losing my sense of self.” – Ross

The back of the painting shows Ross's handwriting: his name, name and size of the painting, and date.

From prison, Ross mailed this painting to his wife for safekeeping.
