Bitcoin Cartoonsʼ largest work, “Exit the Rat Race,” portrays the stages of our adult lives as we move onward and upwards in our careers. As many of us do, we enter the workforce with the preconceived notion that there is only one thing to sell our time for ‒ dollars. Year by year, we put our heads down and strive to produce goods or services that others are willing to buy. All the while, we store our savings in dollars, yet we wonder why we canʼt get ahead or improve our familyʼs standard of living.
At this moment in time, we ask ourselves, “How can I possibly exit this rat race?” Our curious minds gaze away from the hypnotic screens on our dollar engraved desks and Bitcoin presents itself ‒ ready to release us from the trap. As we race towards the exit, we each replace our cheese with an orange pill to help guide others towards the exit. Bitcoin provides an escape from this cycle, allowing us to safeguard our savings in a way that cannot be eroded by the words of a governing board, executive order, or declaration of war.
“Exit the Rat Race” is the 140th cartoon in the numbered series and is an original, one-of-a-kind cartoon. The artist does not offer prints or copies of any cartoon in the numbered series.
