“Dark Lies” came about in 2021, after the Mini Gem series created by Petek, called “The Trilogy of Privacy”. ToP is a set of 3 Mini Gems themed around privacy and self sovereignty. It was created to inspire people both metaphysically and consciously to question for themselves; “What is Money? What is the difference between Bitcoin and fiat money? Why should I care about my monetary privacy? What is my monetary privacy worth to me? What if I could choose to be my own banker?”

“Dark Lies” is the 4th outlier that emerged from the Mini Gem series. It stands by and for itself, and is less about privacy and more about the blatant lies we have been spoonfed about the nature of money. Who owns it? Who controls it? What is the game theory behind it? This artwork is an invitation to dive down the rabbit hole, and realise, that in fact, everything you’ve ever been taught about money is just one big game of charades - to cover up the biggest pyramid ponzi scheme on the planet and keep you in your place. Now is the time to look behind the facade. Now is the time for people to wake the fuck up and not buy the lies anymore. The old money system is broken and it is riding on thin air.”

Unlike with the rest of the Mini Gems, there will be ZERO limited edition prints of this artwork. The original is the only physical form it will inhabit. I do plan to retrospectively mint an NFT to accompany each Mini Gem original which is then airdropped to the owner of the original.

There are only 6 original paintings I could sign this year with the beautiful and symbolic 2021 in the signature and this is one of them. “Dark Lies” was a favourite at Bitcoin 2021 in Miami, however I was not yet ready to let go of it (a bad habit I have with my originals).
