Acrylic painting and card stock on box canvas. A physical 1/1 handmade artwork to act as the IRL manifestation of MrHansel’s 2018 Rare Pepe card ‘BERLINPEPE’ (S25, C33). The winner of the auction will also receive 1 of the 100 issuance BERLINPEPE Rare Pepe digital cards, direct from MrHansel’s original issuing wallet. BERLINPEPE was made in honour of two iconic symbols of the city, firstly the Ampelmannchen, the traffic light crossing man who embodies the Pepe spirit of ‘Green Means Go’. Secondly to Room77, the first bar to ever accept bitcoin, where at some point around 2019, Theo Goodman kindly transferred seven BERLINPEPE tokens to bemused regulars at the request of the artist. The artwork shows the number 77, and a representation of the neon pink circle light that iconically hung outside of the bar.
