Barbie Bitcoin. The inspiration for this piece came from Boticelli’s ‘Venus’. I envisioned a beautiful blond girl in front of a tree full of oranges. Given that I am a pop artist, I made the face in comic book fashion and in turn, painted the ‘oranges’ in four shades or orange pearlescent…a beautiful effect. In light, the oranges glow like golden orange bitcoins. Hair is multi shades of yellow and face tanned. Barbie indeed.
