The work:
"ORANGEUPRISE," is an oil painting from the Fake Rare Series 15 Orange collection, which captures the essence of Bitcoin's revolutionary ascent. In this piece, an enigmatic masked figure takes center stage upon a regal throne, adorned in an orange suit, black leather gloves, and a hoodie portraying a cryptic trollface-like visage. Behind this mysterious protagonist, an iconic rendition of 'Liberty Leading the People' looms, symbolizing the revolutionary spirit of Bitcoin within the larger context of financial freedom and innovation. This painting masterfully intertwines symbolism and contemporary intrigue to celebrate the transformative rise of Bitcoin.
The artist:
Pepenardo, or commonly referred to as Nardo, is a pseudonymous artist, creative director, and dank polymath. Nardo’s work epitomizes a renaissance humanist ideal in combination with dogmatic internet memetics. His career grew out of the Counterparty underground scene, the Fake Rares.
