HODL - Hand Lettered in Slate

This carving of “HODL” is hand lettered using hammer and chisel in Grayson slate from Virginia. The slate itself is a beautiful dark stone with natural metallic pigments.

This carving is a prime example of traditional “v-cut” lettering, as seen on monuments and public buildings, the world over. “V-cut” letters are renowned for their longevity, remaining legible hundred if not thousands of years later, and for their beauty in differing light conditions.

Note, this carving is intended to sit on a table or rested on a shelf and does not come with hanging hardware. It does come with a small stand, but if you wish to hang this carving, please contact me and I would be happy to make recommendations regarding appropriate hardware.
