When developing the concept for this piece, I wanted to do my own spin on one of my favorite Rare Pepes, LORDKEK. In my painting we have the Lord seated on the left side. We think of him as the Ruler who possesses supreme power. But seated next to him is the Lady, the female equivalent. Equal in ALL ways. At the foot of the Lord, we have a miniature giraffe. This rare (and extremely cute) animal is a symbol of the wealth and privilege achieved by the power couple. On the table between them, we have fake beer. Many know about it, but few have experienced it. IYKYK and the Lord knows. Looking closer at the Lady, we notice her pointing with a smirk that only increases our curiosity. What is she pointing at? It’s her prized possession, the Nakamoto bust. An homage to RAREPEPE, the card that started it all. Seated in front are 7 faithful disciples ready to absorb all they can from the supreme couple. One of the disciples is holding the highly-coveted FAKEASF card. They are showing their allegiance to the community by offering it up to the Lady. On the left, we see more mysterious pointing–this time from one of the disciples. What are they trying to tell us? That we should always pay tribute to history. What better way than with The Rarest Book, a physical directory that includes all 1774 original Rare Pepes. Circling the composition, we have 3 birds symbolizing freedom and reaching new heights. Top center of the composition is the bitcoin icon. Backlit in the warmth of the golden sunlight, this symbol of freedom and sovereignty is the center-point above this buttery gold kingdom. Above everything, we have the all seeing eye. It’s constantly looking over the glorious kingdom built by the Lord and Lady. And finally, at the bottom of this piece is the name plate of yours truly. I didn’t want to simply sign this painting quietly in the lower corner, but instead make my signature a literal part of the painting adding another ornamental piece to this composition.
