The Work:
This auction is for a 1/1 original artwork to mark the 10 year Anniversary of Rare Pepe
Featuring 24 iconic Rare Pepe from Series 1 and 2, these Pepe’s have been re-imagined for the modern world 10 years later in 2026. Now they take the form of normal everyday people in a school yearbook format
Each Pepe was selected & repainted by hand by artist Zima Blue. Using a photography canvas as the base, oil paint was used to bring each Pepe to life, and a mixture of marker & paint pens were used to bring the intricate details of each Rare Pepe to the surface This is a large, striking mixed medium artwork which is already framed & ready to hang directly on the wall
A counterparty NFT is also included in the sale, a digital token to represent the physical artwork
The Inspiration:
This artwork is an ode to the original Rare Pepe series, and pays homage to all the artists, creators & renegades who created the very first NFT’s on the bitcoin blockchain A list of the Rare Pepe featured:
