About the artwork: Genesis Address harkens back to my roots as a Bitcoin street artist. In 2013, I would scrawl public and private keys around San Francisco hoping passersby would interact with them. This was my rudimentary way of gauging public interest in BTC and whether or not it made sense to pursue as a career. It's also where the name cryptograffiti came from (cryptography + graffiti). 1A1zP1eP5QGefi2DMPTfTL5SLmv7DivfNa is the most famous of all Bitcoin addresses as it is associated with the genesis block. On January 3rd, 2009 the first 50 bitcoin ever issued were sent to the address, and whether by design or a bug, this subsidy cannot be spent. People still frequently send BTC to the address as a thank you to Satoshi for his creation. There are two different Genesis Address screen prints - a three and four-lined version . The four-lined prints have two different colored versions - charcoal and tangerine. Each is a limited edition of 35. This auction is for #35/35 of the four-lined tangerine edition.
