This hand-printed screen print features a portrait of Ross, created using multiple layers. The artwork incorporates his Bitcoin address, subtly integrated through a change of color. Each layer contributes to both his image and the message of support for his cause.
Inspired by Ross Ulbricht's story and his absolutely unfair, insane sentence, this artwork seeks to contribute to his cause. In this regard 90% of the proceeds collected from the sale of these prints will go to the Foundation.
Ross, an entrepreneur passionate about free markets and privacy, is serving 2 life sentences + 40 years in prison for creating an anonymous e-commerce website called Silk Road. Related case sentences, including the actual drug sellers, the men who helped run Silk Road, and the men behind Silk Road 2.0 -a larger replica- received an average prison sentence of six years. For me, Ross's disproportionate sentence seems to be held as a political statement: challenging the state will not be tolerated.
