If you want to tell the story of money, you have to start at the beginning and narrate to the current moment.
It begins with CROESUS LYDIAE REX (BLUE PAINTING). As king of Lydiae his gold coins were first minted around 550 BC. It was the world’s first bimetallic currency system. The coins circulated in many regions before the introduction of paper money. So 2,571 years ago this shit show started and developed into anything and everything it has become today. So far so good...
In 2016, I became fascinated by how money works in our society and came to the conclusion that we all just believe in the best story told. So I started incorporating fiat banknotes and made them central to my artwork. I wanted to create another value. But then in 2017 after my first gallery show I was introduced to Bitcoin (through my man ZETRA) and everything, I mean everything changed in my belief.
I became aware of a new story, a new perspective and a new possibility to change the given path. The story started again, new and honest and the creator is SATOSHI NAKAMOTO (RED PAINTING).
EXPLORE EXPLOIT CONTINUUM was a phrase I came across and I just loved the fucking sound of it. I want the viewer to interpret it as they choose. For me it means search, uncertainty, efficiency and growth. It's all I see when I set a past and future in my story. I used hundreds of thousands in U$ and €uro fiat banknotes for the two paintings. Check the detailed pictures and you will find new impressions in every square inch.
