2017 S Series Silver coin is 39 millimeters in diameter and contains one troy ounce of .999 fine silver, making it the first coin BTCC has created that combines bitcoin with a precious metal.
S-Series coins are created with pure silver, meaning that they have fine detail and a bright white, highly reflective finish. S-Series coins are made by polishing silver blanks to a mirror finish, and then striking the blanks with a minting press multiple times to ensure sharp detail. The proof-quality coins that are created through this process are unique and nearly impossible to counterfeit. Also, the bitcoins contained within S-Series coins are uncirculated, and guaranteed to be newly mined in the year of issue, making S-Series coins the ultimate collector’s item. These coins were mined before August 1st, 2017 and, therefore, they contain 1 BTC and its forks.
BTCC Mint coins are physical coins with digital currency inside them, intended to serve as collectible physical representations of bitcoin. Underneath the tamper-evident orange hologram sticker on the reverse of the coin is the private key, which can be scanned to import the bitcoin into any online wallet that supports the bitcoin private key format.
BTCC is fairly unique because they have also run one of the biggest mining pools. They use this to fund their coins directly from the block reward. This means that these mint bitcoins do not have any previous history.
