The frog is an ancient symbol of success and wealth. I was inspired by meeting a community from the world of cryptocurrencies that was new to me, and I decided to bring it to life. The most important and sought after coin is still bitcoin. The frog sitting menacingly at the top is the guarantor of the prosperity and growth of bitcoin and the crypto community as a whole. This is one of the most challenging jobs I have done in my life. This is due to the fact that there are so many details in this job. In addition to the different paint colors (there are 27 of them), there is also a volumetric component to the work. Some parts protrude to emphasize the details. This can only be noticed by touching the painting or looking at it in detail. All of this is done by hand, without the use of strokes. Only dots. Also, thanks to a special technique, I made the frog's eyes in such a way that it is always watching you, no matter which side you are looking from. It looks really mesmerizing.

ALEX SORBONN's painting “Bitcoin Pepe,” a master of Japanese jewelry drop painting, is created in the mixed ancient 17th century techniques of ARARE and MAKI-E.

It took 400 hours of labor time to create. The total number of drops of paint, applied by hand, exceeds 500 thousand.
