UASF is a historical, early piece of cryptoart (2017) by the Crypsi collective, inspired by the famous Tone Vays meme during the ‘block wars’.
It is a 1/7 picture using a stencil and hand-sprayed. The picture comes with a unique nft, minted on counterparty and stored on an opendime bitcoin wallet.
The User Activated Soft Fork (UASF) movement was critical to the bitcoin community and in allowing the users to retain control of a decentralized global currency/ asset. The digital image of UASF/ photos of the canvas art were widely shared on twitter at the time.
This picture is number 7/7 which is a one-off, glow-in-the-dark version (although given 5 years old, the glow in the dark effect is not as prominent as it once was).
One of 2 unique crypsi artworks in the 8 years from 2014 -2022 (the other also being a glow-in-the-dark version (Ether Alien)).
