This is a Pepe tribute to the iconic Jackie Robinson card from the 1954 Topps baseball set. It was created by making multiple separate paintings and then layering them for the animation.
With the incorporation of one of the pivotal figures of the United States civil rights movement, I hope that this serves as my response to those groups that attempted yet failed to appropriate Pepe as a symbol of hate. By doing so, I join with the larger community of artists who have made their intentions clear on this matter.
