The Work:

This auction is for a 1/1 original artwork to mark the 10 year Anniversary of Rare Pepe

Featuring 24 iconic Rare Pepe from the original bitcoin NFT series which began in Sept 2016, each Pepe has been re-created & re-imagined for the modern world. 10 years on in 2026, they now take the form of normal everyday people in a school yearbook style format

Each Rare Pepe was selected & repainted by hand by artist Zima Blue. A mixture of personal favourites & Pepe’s that just fit the right mood & form of the characters on the canvas

Using photography as the base for each character, oil paint (mainly green) was used to bring each figure to life, and a mixture of marker & fine paint pens were used to bring the intricate details of each Rare Pepe to the surface

This is a large striking mixed medium artwork, with the canvas already framed in silver metal box frame. It is ready to hang directly on the wall

The winner of the auction will also receive a counterparty NFT, a digital 1/1 token to represent the physical artwork - RAREPEPETEN.ART

The Inspiration:

This artwork is an ode to the original Rare Pepe series, and pays homage to all the artists, creators & renegades who created the very first NFT’s on the bitcoin blockchain
